A Beautiful Mess App Reviews

Fun!

UPDATE 8/23/2016: app wont stop crashing. I havent been able to use it for months. Deleting & reinstalling doesnt work. Will change review once glitches are fixed. OLD REVIEW: I dont know what other reviewers are complaining about. The 99¢ version has LOADS of cool features! Dont be so entitled! The app developers are just regular people doing their best to make a living...and this app is MEGA cute and fun as is! Tons of other apps make you pay for extra content: Hipstamatic & Afterlight for example. Good apps dont just grow on trees. They actually have to be crafted...which takes time, talent & creativity...and is worth a little money. ONE SUGGESTION: I can only edit square photos. Id like to be able to use your embellishments on all shapes of photos. Thanks!

Great but...

I love this app, but it kinda difficult to shrink the doodles or texts ect. If it were easier to make them as small as I want them I would give them a higher rating.

Best app!!!

This app is one of the best I done had thus far!!!

Good app

I like this app. Pretty easy to use once you learn your way around it.

Used to love it -- now I hate it!

This used to be my favorite go to picture app. I loved it. Even bought the upgrades. Now - after whatever version screwed it up - I HATE IT! Its virtually worthless to me. It doesnt ask for or access my camera on my phone so I cant use any current pictures there. It will only access the old saved pics off Instagram or Facebook. Nothing current. So frustrating. Have to find a new app.

Love it!

So easy to use, simple, beautiful.

Great app

I really like this app. Its easy to use.

Great

This app is good for novice at this

Fun, quirky, so close to perfect!

Love it! Fun, quirky, and easy to use! Fits my style perfectly! I would just change being able to manipulate the add ons more. I tend to start over a lot because I cant edit or remove something after I add another element.

Love it!

Hands down the best FREE creative picture app available. You can create your own message, or fix up your pictures. Super cute designs, & always being updated. Love it!!

Great Photo App

This is my favorite app for making photo collages. It is so easy to use.

Unimpressed

Nearly impossible to zoom out of a photo. I try and try and it does nothing. Now I am in search of a new app that can edit even easier.

Confused!

Im so confused! Whenever I click on "Tips and Tricks" it shows A Beautiful Mess 2.0, but thats it. The page doesnt allow me to do anything, it doesnt give any tips or tricks.... Ive tried searching for the 2.0 app and cant find it. I just want to be able to save my photos in a high resolution! Helppppppppp

Awesome and easy to use

I use this app daily for my direct sales company and its perfect!

Great!

Fun and Easy to use.

Just get it...

I have a variety of photo collage apps on my phone, but I find myself always reaching for this one. Its easy and fun to use, and the text fonts and doodle graphics help to make some really cute photo projects. If your on the fence because this is a paid app, just get it! Youll love it!

Love it

So good- great fonts, filters, emoji pictures and borders. Really personalizes a picture in a professional way!

Awesome photo app!

Love how easy this is to use! Ive never really tried editing my pictures before because of how complicating it can be but there are so many cute filters and add ons in this app I love it!

The Essence of FAIL (#FacePalm edition)

The main function of the A Beautiful Mess (ABM) app is to put text on photos. At this singular task, ABM is maddeningly obtuse. The complete lack of granular controls, sophomoric text sizing and limited, garish color choices hold ABM back from a place among the ranks of great (or even good) apps. For example, the text sizing/placement and color picker are really, really, really, bad; fix it already. What I mean by bad is if this app were 100% free, the tools would still be insulting crap. That this is a paid app is a testament to the old axiom right place at the right time which is exactly where apps like ABM and Hipstamatic were positioned in the early days of the App Store. But unlike the trusties over in Hipstaville, it seems that Team ABM cant be asked to partake in keeping up an app for the great unwashed masses. So all that aside, what really is important here is that the app is crap. Always was. Those of us who bought in early were hoping and in same ways investing in the future of ABM, but also the iOS platform in general. While we got burned on apps like ABM, The Music Path and the movie tie-in Inception app, in the greater sense our money was well spent, well at least the part of each sale that went to Apple. So yes, ABM did sell a million units. Not for nothing, thats big. But for a million in sales, maybe an update every year or two would be nice. Is that really asking so much? Crap.

Useful, but frustrating.

This app is useful and easy to use, but making the doodles large and small is kind of frustrating to navigate through. Also, there should be an option to be able to make them really tiny.
